Large Scale Projects
This project aimed to collaborate with community groups explore the fascinating relationship between color and sound. Participants engaged in creative activities that allowed them to translate their perceptions of color into musical compositions and soundscapes. Through workshops and interactive sessions, individuals discovered how different colors evoke distinct emotions and sensations, inspiring a unique auditory experience. Ultimately, the project fostered a deeper understanding of sensory connections while promoting community engagement and artistic expression.
The Magic Paintbrush
The project unfolded as a captivating folk opera inspired by the ancient Chinese story of the Magic Paintbrush. It was a collaborative effort involving four schools, where creativity blended with technology through the use of iPads and a small chamber ensemble. With a person-centered approach, students expressed their unique perspectives and talents, exploring the magic of art and storytelling. Together, they fostered a deeper understanding of culture and collaboration.
